Bill Martin specialises in the design and installation of audio visual equipment, video conference and large screen displays. Combining leading edge product expertise with the latest technology and creative, customised service support, we can provide innovative solutions to meet the specific needs of your business.

Bill MartinMedia has been providing Video Conference technology to Clients since 1992 with continued success. At the time, we provided services at the Australian Chamber of Manufactures Conference Centre in Melbourne utilising a Picturetel unit on a 128K Microlink and able to communicate with any part of the world. More recently installations have included units with simultaneous multi point capability and a 400% quality improvement at less than half the cost of the earliest unit we used.

A videoconference (also called video conference) can be thought of as a phone call with pictures - and indications suggest that videoconferencing will soon become the primary mode of distance communications. According to definition by videoconference authorities, a videoconference is a live connection between people in separate locations for the purpose of communication, involving audio as well as video. At its simplest, videoconferencing provides transmission of video images and audio between just two locations. At its more developed state, it provides transmission of full-motion video images and high- quality audio between multiple locations almost anywhere on the world.

The tangible benefits for businesses using videoconferencing include lower travel costs and profits gained from offering videoconferencing as an aspect of customer service. The intangible benefits of videoconference technology include the facilitation of group work among geographically distant teammates and a stronger sense of community among business contacts, both within and between companies. On a more personal level, the face-to-face connection adds non-verbal communication to the exchange and allows participants to develop a stronger sense of familiarity with individuals they may never actually meet in the same place.

Simultaneous videoconferencing among three or more locations is possible by means of a technology that interconnects calls from several locations in a similar way to the audio conference call. All parties call the videoconference bridge, or the videoconference bridge unit can also call the parties which are going to participate. There are videoconference technologies that are appropriate for IP ( computer network) and ISDN-based (public telephone network) videoconferencing.

Additionally, we have provided videoconference technology for the following clients, amongst others: BHP BILLITON, Australian Chamber of Manufactures (now AI Group) MedicVision Ltd, UBS, KPMG, Peter MacCallum Hospital, Westin Hotel, Melbourne. Bill MartinMedia can install either a permanent or temporary link for your meeting.

In Sydney, we utilise the specialist services of Western Audio Visual Events (WAVE-AV) to provide AV & VC, by commercial arrangement.

We endeavour to satisfy the needs of the discerning customer by providing quality products and excellent service. A select list of our valued and satisfied clients is available, upon request. (As some jobs are for other Clients or Integrators there will be some examples missing from our lists as requests or discretion dictate).
